Professor Edwina Brown is a consultant nephrologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and is President of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis. She has published on peritoneal dialysis, outcomes of older people on dialysis and renal palliative care and has over 200 publications.  She is currently the principal investigator for Kidney Transplantation in Older People (KTOP) which will complete during 2023. She co-chaired the ISPD guideline committee (2014-2020) and chaired the group developing the 2020 guideline on ‘Prescribing high quality, goal-directed peritoneal dialysis’. She co-chaired the KDIGO controversies conference on symptom-based complications in dialysis in May 2022.
